JPL's Navigation and Ancillary Information Facility (NAIF) is pleased
to announce the release of Version N0057 of the SPICE Toolkit.
Versions for all supported languages and environments (platform, OS
and compiler) may be obtained from the usual location:

   ftp://naif.jpl.nasa.gov/pub/naif/toolkit

The "whats.new" file in each of the "packages" sub-directories
describes the major changes and additions. Foremost amongst these is
the first official release of "Icy": the Interactive Data Language
(IDL) interface to CSPICE.

The source code "header" that provides instructions on how to use a
module has been updated for a number of the most popular modules.
(Updates for still more module headers are being worked for the next
release.)

As always, this Toolkit is fully backwards compatible with previous
versions. Customers should find no changes in linking their own
applications to the SPICELIB (Fortran) or CSPICE (C language)
libraries, and the included utility and application programs operate
and act as before.
