INTEGER FUNCTION NBLEN ( STRING )
Abstract
Return the non-blank length of a character string. (That is,
the index of the last non-blank character when the string is
left-justified.)

The function returns the non-blank length of STRING.

STRING is the input character string.
Detailed_Output
The function returns the non-blank length of STRING. This is the
same as the index of the last non-blank character in the left
justified string. If STRING is blank, NBLEN is zero.

Locate the first and last non-blank characters in the string.
Subtract to get the non-blank length.
