PDS Catalog Objects Supporting VOSP_1000

   The CATALOG subdirectory contains data object files that provide
   high-level descriptions of the Viking mission, Viking Orbiter
   spacecraft and science team, as well as of the SPICE data set
   contained on this volume. The descriptions are organized into the
   following catalog objects:

      VIKING ORBITER 1 INSTRUMENT HOST (vo1host.cat)
      VIKING ORBITER 2 INSTRUMENT HOST (vo2host.cat)
      INSTRUMENT (spice_inst.cat)

   The SPICE DATA SET object describes the SPICE data represented on
   this volume. It provides a data set overview and descriptions of
   SPICE kernels and the software used to manipulate kernel data.
 
   The VIKING ORBITER 1 (VO1) and VIKING ORBITER 2 (VO2) INSTRUMENT
   HOST objects describe the VO1 and VO2 spacecraft.

   The INSTRUMENT object describes SPICE kernels.
 
   The HOUSEKEEPING object describes browser and URL information.
 
   The MISSION object describes the Viking mission.
 
   The PERSONNEL object lists the Viking Orbiter SPICE data producers.
 
   The RELEASE object lists the Viking Orbiter SPICE data set release
   dates and IDs.
 
   The REFERENCE object contains bibliographic citations for reference
   works cited in other catalog objects.
