   The ``catalog'' subdirectory contains data object files that provide
   high-level descriptions of the MESSENGER mission, spacecraft and
   science team, as well as of the SPICE data set. The descriptions are
   organized into the following catalog object files:

      SPICE DATA SET (spiceds.cat)
      INSTRUMENT HOST (insthost.cat)
      INSTRUMENT (inst.cat)
      HOUSEKEEPING (spice_hsk.cat)
      MISSION (mission.cat)
      REFERENCE (ref.cat)
      PERSONNEL (person.cat)
      RELEASE (release.cat)

   The SPICE DATA SET object describes the SPICE data included in this
   data set. It provides a data set overview and descriptions of SPICE
   kernels and the software used to manipulate kernel data.

   The INSTRUMENT HOST object describes the MESSENGER spacecraft.

   The INSTRUMENT object describes SPICE kernels.

   The HOUSEKEEPING object describes browser and URL information.

   The MISSION object describes the MESSENGER mission.

   The PERSONNEL object lists the MESSENGER project personnel.

   The RELEASE object lists the MESSENGER SPICE data set release dates
   and IDs.

   The REFERENCE object contains bibliographic citations for reference
   works cited in other catalog objects.
