END_OBJECT = TEXT END Orbit Number Files for the JUNO Mission to Jupiter ================================================== This directory contains the orbit number files generated by NAIF's ORBNUM utility program using the reconstructed spacecraft trajectory SPK files for the orbital phase of the mission. The orbit number files are plain ASCII text files that have lines terminated with a line feed character, LF (ASCII 10). The orbit number files with the ``.orb'' extension contain data that follow the ``apoapsis-to-apoapsis'' orbit numbering scheme -- with the orbit number changing at the apoapsis. JUNO Orbit Number Files Provided in This Data Set ================================================= The following JUNO orbit number files are provided in this data set (only name portion of the file name is shown; the extension of all file names is ``.orb''): juno_rec_orbit_vVV orbit number files providing the orbit numbers and other time and geometric values for the orbital phase of the JUNO mission. The file with latest version number, ``VV'', supersedes all previous versions. The information contained in the orbit number files includes the following, in which the "Column Title" entries are along the top of the orbit number file and "Meaning" describes what the column represents. Column Title Meaning --------------------- ----------------------------------- No. orbit number Event UTC APO apoapsis UTC time Event SCLK APO apoapsis SCLK time OP-Event UTC PERI periapsis UTC time SolLon & SolLat planetocentric subsolar longitude and latitude in the Jupiter body-fixed frame defined by the Jupiter rotation constants provided in the PCK file ``pck00010.tpc'', at the apoapsis time. SC Lon, SC Lat, & Alt planetocentric subspacecraft longitude, latitude, and altitude relative to the reference ellipsoid in the body-fixed frame defined by the Jupiter shape and rotation constants provided in the PCK file ``pck00010.tpc'', at the apoapsis time. Sol Dist Distance between Sun and Jupiter at at the apoapsis time. For the JUNO orbital mission, the orbit number is changing at the apoapses with the orbit 1 starting at the first apoapsis after JOI.
