Rocky-7 May'97 Field Test SPK File --------------------------------------------------------------------- This file contains ephemeris for the Rocky 7 rover (NAIF ID -10002) for the period of tests that were performed in May 1997 at the Lavac Lake Test Site in the Mojave Desert north of the U.S. Marine Station at Twenty-nine Palms, California. This was was created using a combination of two inputs -- Rocky-7 rover automated telemetry log and rover position measurements made by global position stations. The log was created by JPL's Rocky-7 rover team. Global station measurements were performed by Washington University team. For every rover traverse, the initial point coordinates were taken from the global station measurements. After that the rover position telemetry data from the log was used to compute the rover position from this point to the end of traverse. Rover trajectory in the file is provided relative to the Lavac lake topocentric frame, The frame corresponds to one that was used for a global position station measurements: Z - normal to the ground, Y - north, X complements to the right hand frame. This frame is defined in the Rocky-7 frame definition kernel. The file covers the following time interval corresponding to the rover traverses specified on the right: START ET STOP ET TRAVERSE NAME ----------------- ----------------- ---------------------------- 97/05/25 21:03:34 97/05/27 01:44:16 SUNSHINE FLOW 97/05/27 16:01:08 97/05/27 18:11:55 SUNSHINE FLOW MARGIN (DAY 1) 97/05/27 20:41:05 97/05/27 23:58:59 PLAYA CRATER FIELD (DAY 1) 97/05/28 16:17:07 97/05/28 19:19:39 SUNSHINE FLOW MARGIN (DAY 2) 97/05/28 21:07:15 97/05/28 22:31:34 SUNSHINE FLOW (CALICHE SEARCH) 97/05/29 15:25:47 97/05/29 20:00:17 PLAYA CRATER FIELD (DAY 2) 97/05/29 20:06:02 97/05/29 23:30:20 PLAYA AND ALLUVIAL FAN Revisions --------------------------------------------------------------------- Version 1.0 Thu Jan 8 09:49:19 PST 1998 --- B.V.
