The location coordinates are provided in the Appendix "Arecibo Coordinates" below. The topocentric frame is defined with +Z up, along the normal to the Earth ellipsoid with radii (6378.1366,6378.1366,6356.7519) provided in the PCK file ``pck00010.tpc'', and +X axis pointing toward north. These SPK and FK were made using PINPOINT. The keywords defining PINPOINT inputs are provided in the appendix "PINPOINT Inputs" below. Since both the telescope location and frame orientation are defined relative to the ITRF93 frame, a high precision Earth orientation PCK file providing the orientation of ITRF93 must be loaded together with these SPK and FK. Arecibo Telescope and Topocentric Frame Names and IDs ======================================================= The names and IDs for the Arecibo telescope and the topocentric frame at its site are: = 'ARECIBO' = 397001 = 'ARECIBO_TOPO' = 397001 References ======================================================= [1] E-mail from Jon Giorgini, Solar System Dynamics Group, JPL, 10/18/13 Appendix: Arecibo Coordinates ======================================================= From [1], the Arecibo cartesian IRTF2000 coordinates measured in GPS survey by Mike Nolan (Arecibo Observatory) and reported to SSD on 2006-Mar-22 are: X = 2390487.5486 m Y = -5564731.6533 m Z = 1994725.9337 m Although these XYZ coordinates are in IRTF2000, in these SPK and FK they are treated as coordinates in ITRF93, which introduces a sub-meter level error, which is below the uncertainty of the measurement.
