GNS IK files. =========================================================================== This ``aareadme.txt'' file describes contents of the kernels/ik directory of the GNS SPICE data server. Brief summary -------------------------------------------------------- This directory contains the SPICE I-Kernel files for the GNS spacecraft science instruments. All files are in IEEE text format and must be copied using ftp ASCII transfer to any non-UNIX workstation. The following files are present in this directory. (Only file names are shown; the file name extensions of the text IK files are always ".ti"): gns_gim_vNN GNS Genesis Ion Monitor (GIM) IK file containing instrument mounting alignment and CEM FOV geometry parameters; gns_gem_vNN GNS Genesis Electron Monitor (GIM) IK file containing instrument mounting alignment and CEM FOV geometry parameters; gns_con_vNN GNS Concentrator (CON) IK file containing instrument mounting alignment and FOV geometry parameters; If multiple versions of an IK file are provided for an instrument, always use the latest version (unless earlier version is needed for some special reasons.) IK File Naming Schema. -------------------------------------------------------- The GNS IK files naming schema is as follows: gns_III_vNN.ti where III is the instrument name (example: ``gim''); NN is the file version (example: ``10'' for Version 1.0);
