     This ``aareadme.txt'' file describes contents of the kernels/ik
     directory of the DAWN SPICE data server. It was last modified on

Brief summary
--------------------------------------------------------
 
     This directory contains the SPICE I-Kernel files for the DAWN
     spacecraft science instruments. All files are in IEEE text format and
     must be copied using ftp ASCII transfer to any non-UNIX workstation.
     The following files are present in this directory. (Only file names
     are shown; the file name extensions of the text IK files are always
     ``.ti''):
 
           dawn_fc_vNN       DAWN Framing Camera 1/2 (FC) IK file
                             containing instrument FOV definition and other
                             geometric parameters;
 
           dawn_grand_vNN    DAWN Gamma Ray and Neutron Detector (GRaND) IK
                             file containing instrument FOV definition and
                             other geometric parameters;
 
           dawn_struct_vNN   IK file containing instrument FOV definitions
                             for for DAWN antennas, star trackers and other
                             structures;
 
           dawn_vir_vNN      DAWN Visible and Infrared Mapping Spectrometer
                             (VIR) IK file containing instrument FOV
                             definition and other geometric parameters;
 
     If multiple versions of an IK file are provided for an instrument,
     always use the latest version (unless earlier version is needed for
     some special reasons.)
