     This ``aareadme.txt'' file describes contents of the kernels/fk
     directory of the DAWN SPICE data server. It was last modified on

Brief summary
--------------------------------------------------------
 
     This directory contains the SPICE Frames Kernel files for the DAWN
     spacecraft and its science instruments and for the DAWN targets. All
     files are in IEEE text format and must be copied using ftp ASCII
     transfer to any non-UNIX workstation. The following files are present
     in this directory. (Only file names are shown; the file name
     extensions of the text Frames Kernel files are always ``.tf''):
 
           dawn_vNN   DAWN Frames kernel files containing frame definitions
                      for DAWN spacecraft, its solar arrays, antennas and
                      science instruments;
 
           dawn_cer   DAWN Frames kernel files containing body-fixed frame
                      definitions for asteroid Ceres;
 
           dawn_ves   DAWN Frames kernel files containing body-fixed frame
                      definitions for asteroid Vesta;
 
     If multiple versions of a Frames Kernel file are provided, always use
     the latest version (unless earlier version is needed for some special
     reasons.)
