NAIF offers a SPICE newsletter:
   https://naif.jpl.nasa.gov/naif/SPICE_News_Jan_2018.pdf

The set of on-line SPICE tutorials has been updated. These latest versions have “January 2018” on the cover page.
  PDF versions: https://naif.jpl.nasa.gov/naif/tutorials.html
  Office versions: https://naif.jpl.nasa.gov/pub/naif/toolkit_docs/Tutorials/office/

NAIF hopes to be able to work with NASA to be able to provide support–if and where needed/wanted–for upcoming CubeSat and SmallSat missions. If you are associated with one of these missions and think that some NAIF help with training for, deploying, maybe even operating, a SPICE capability should be considered, we’d be interested in hearing from you. (No arm twisting here, and no commitment for having asked about possibilities.)

We’re always interested to hear of new and novel uses of SPICE; we know we’re unaware of many such uses. Drop us a line about your project, tool or research!

If you have SPICE data or code you’d like to share with others, or if you have a SPICE-related question you wish to pose to the user community (as opposed to just to NAIF), make use of the spice_discussion Mailman system:
   https://naif.jpl.nasa.gov/mailman/listinfo/spice_discussion

                                         -----------------------------------------------

With the backing of NASA and local program management, NAIF looks forward to continuing its support of the space science community in 2018 and beyond.

For the NAIF Team,
