CKSLICER User's Guide =========================================================================== Last revised on 2005 JAN 13 by B. V. Semenov. Abstract -------------------------------------------------------- CKSLICER is a command-line program that subsets a CK file into another CK file. Summary -------------------------------------------------------- CKSLICER is a command-line program that copies a subset of pointing data within a specified time interval for a specified instrument or structure from all applicable Type 1, 2 or 3 CK segments contained in one CK file into another CK file. Usage -------------------------------------------------------- CKSLICER is used as follows: > ckslicer -lsk -sclk -inputck -outputck -id -timetype -start -stop where inputs provided on the command line are: lsk_file_name name of LSK file. sclk_file_name name(s) of SCLK file. input_ck_file name of input CK file output_ck_file name of output CK file. naif_id CK ID, the data for which is to be copied to the output CK file. This argument is optional; if it is not specified, all applicable segments in the file will be subset'ed. It must be specified if ``-timetype'' is 'UTC' or 'SCLK'. UTC/SCLK/TICKS time type used to specify subset boundaries. This argument is optional; the default value is UTC. start_time start time of the subset interval provided as UTC, SCLK, or encoded SCLK ticks. stop_time stop time of the subset interval provided as UTC, SCLK, or encoded SCLK ticks.. Case of the command line keys and order of command line arguments are insignificant. Example -------------------------------------------------------- In this example CKSLICER is used on a UNIX workstation to create an MGS spacecraft orientation CK file covering only one hour from a CK file covering 84 days: ckslicer -LSK naif0007.tls \ -SCLK MGS_SCLKSCET.00057.tsc \ -INPUTCK mgs_sc_ext11.bc \ -OUTPUTCK mgs_subset.bc \ -ID -94000 \ -TIMETYPE UTC \ -START 2003-JUL-05 12:00 \ -STOP 2003-JUL-05 13:00 CKSLICER: Version 1.0.1 July 17, 1999; Toolkit Version N0058 > Coverage summary for the original and output CK files can be obtained by using CKBRIEF utility program: > ckbrief mgs_sc_ext11.bc \ naif0007.tls \ MGS_SCLKSCET.00057.tsc \ -utc CKBRIEF Version: 2.0.0, 2001-05-16. N0058. This file contains a subset of the pointing data between: UTC 2003-JUL-05 12:00 and UTC 2003-JUL-05 13:00 for segments for the instrument -94000 from the source CK file: mgs_sc_ext11.bc LSK file: ../lsk/naif0007.tls and SCLK file(s): ../sclk/MGS_SCLKSCET.00057.tsc were used by CKSLICER to support required time conversions.
