Dear Omar,

This problem may be due to a 32-bit/64-bit mismatch between
your platform and the Toolkit version you've downloaded.
Please check that you've downloaded the correct Toolkit
for your platform.

You can quickly test SPICE Toolkit version/platform compatibility
by running the SPICE utility

version

which is located in the

exe

path of your installed SPICE Toolkit. The command

version -a

will produce output similar to this:

Toolkit version : N0064
System : PC
Operating System : LINUX
Compiler : GCC/64BIT
File Format : LTL-IEEE
Text File Format : LF
MAX DP : 1.7976931348623E+308
MIN DP : -1.7976931348623E+308
MAX INT : 2147483647
MIN INT : -2147483648

If you have a mismatch, the min/max integers will be
corrupted.

By the way, it looks as though you're using CSPICE.
The new Mac/Lion platform has some library changes
that cause name conflicts in the Matlab and
IDL SPICE Toolkits. You can get from us patched
versions of these Toolkits in order to work around
the problem.

Best regards,

Hello people.
I compile spice for mac osx lion and work fine less loading binary kernels. The error output is:
This version of SPICELIB was originally packaged by NAIF for INTEL MAC hardware
using MAC OS-X with the CC compiler. This environment has a binary file format
of LTL-IEEE; however the software is running on an environment that has a
binary file format of UNKNOWN. This is a severe problem and may be because the
software package was intended for use on a different computer system. It also
may be the result of an improper port; please contact NAIF.

am I doing something wrong in compilation?
or requires special kernels?
Thanks
