<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">NAIF is pleased to announce an augmented version of the WebGeocalc geometry engine that offers users a RESTful programmatic interface. NAIF also announces some updates to the current (GUI) version of WebGeocalc.

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:14.0pt">SPICE Training Class in 2019<o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">The next 3-day SPICE beginners’ training class will be held in the Pasadena, California area this coming Spring. The dates currently being considered are:<br>
April 9 - 11 (not very likely)<br>
May 29 - 31<br>
June 4 - 6<br>
June 12 - 14<br>
This class will be free of cost and is open to anyone interested, including foreign nationals and employees of commercial enterprises. The class comprises a mixture of lectures by NAIF staff, and hands-on programming lessons done by the students. Prospective
students should have reasonable programming skills using one of the <a href="https://naif.jpl.nasa.gov/naif/toolkit.html">
NAIF-supported languages</a>, and some sense of <a href="https://naif.jpl.nasa.gov/pub/naif/toolkit_docs/Tutorials/pdf/individual_docs/03_spice_overview.pdf">
space mission geometry</a>.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Attendance will be limited to available space. Students will be responsible for their own travel, lodging, and meals expenses. Students must bring their own laptop computers configured with a suitable programming

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">An announcement with registration information will be made using this "spice_announce" system once firm dates and the venue ( a hotel) have been selected. NAIF, JPL and NASA reserve the right to cancel the
