<tt><big>These kernel updates reflect the relocation of the DSS-65
antenna.<br>
The new SPK files give the new position of the antenna for dates after<br>
July 3, 2005; for earlier dates, the old position is given. The<br>
topocentric frame kernel defines a topocentric frame centered at<br>
the new location of DSS-65.<br>
<br>
In order to support SPICE users who are switching to "DSS-64" as a name<br>
for the relocated station, the new SPK files provide data for ID code<br>
399064 as well as for 399065. The data for "body" 399064 reflect only <br>
the new location of DSS-65.<br>
<br>
The new frame kernel provides a topocentric frame associated with DSS-64<br>
as well as one associated with DSS-65. The names of these frames are<br>
<br>
DSS-64_TOPO<br>
DSS-65_TOPO<br>

Since the association of the name and ID code<br>
<br>
DSS-64<br>
399064<br>
<br>
is not yet built into SPICE, this association is made by assignments<br>
in the topocentric frame kernel. Loading this frame kernel will make<br>
the name DSS-64 usable in high-level interfaces such as that of SPKEZR.<br>

The paths for the SPK files and frame kernel are,<br>

</big></tt><tt><big>The SPK files are provided in both binary (file
names are *.bsp)<br>
and transfer (file names are *.xsp) format.<br>

(Sun-compatible) binary<br>
format. You can read them on a PC or Mac without modifying them<br>
as long as your Toolkit version is N0052 or greater.<br>

The files may be picked up via anonymous ftp. The binary SPK<br>
files should be transferred in binary mode; the transfer format<br>
</big></tt><tt><big>files should be transferred </big></tt><tt><big>in
ASCII mode.<br>

areas of the two SPK
files are<br>
available as text files (names are *.cmt) in the same<br>
location as the SPK files.</big></tt><tt><big>
The frame kernel is a human-readable text<br>
file and also contains an extensive description at the start of the<br>
